In March of 2008, Ira Z. Fishman, along with his daughter Dana L. Moskowitz, founded ID Real Estate Partners, LLC. This new venture will specialize in the acquisition and leasing of Commercial Real Estate. Mr. Fishman will spearhead acquisitions, while Ms. Moskowitz will direct the leasing division. Mr. Fishman and Ms. Moskowitz will continue their successful collaboration which began in 2002.
Prior to starting ID Real Estate Partners, Mr. Fishman spent ten years at Winoker Realty Co. as Executive Vice President and Principal. He helped to greatly enhance the overall operations and growth of the firm and was responsible for the expansion and development of Winoker’s leasing and management divisions. With over 36 years in the real estate industry, Mr. Fishman brought to the firm unparalleled management expertise and first-hand knowledge of Manhattan’s residential and commercial markets.
Mr. Fishman began his real estate career at Newmark & Co. where he learned the business from the ground up. During his 26 years at the company he eventually became a partner of the firm. He acted as leasing/managing agent for nine commercial buildings with over 3,500,000 square feet of rentable space and oversaw a team of five associates.
Graduating Phi Beta Kappa from Rutgers College, Mr. Fishman received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. He is Chairman of the Real Estate Board of New York’s Loft and Secondary Office Committee, sits on the Board of Directors of the Fashion Center Business Improvement District (BID), the Board of Directors of the Commercial Brokerage Division of the Real Estate Board of New York, the Board of Directors of Boys Town of New York and is a former secretary of the Young Men’s/Women’s Real Estate Association of New York.
